My lovely people,
I have had such a busy week since my first night bartending at the Mic-Club venue, Lucky Jacks. It was so good to be back behind the bar and taking care of all you drinkers you…what support you showed. Not only was I happy but the charity David Allen King had donated his feature funds benefited from all your donations. Thank You!
I know you all ran away to the beaches on Friday but those few who hung around and supported Sacha (your host) first solo performance, words are not enough to show our appreciation…and for anybody who missed out. It turns out next Thursday will have him feature for his birthday at Mic-Club. Thats June 5th. As he has encouraged you time and time again to get emotionally naked he himself feels that he owes it to himself and you to do the same.
Now before we run ahead of ourselves. Tonight we have our own prodigy so to speak. Taharqa, (pronounced Taraka) as he has been coming to our open mic spot for over two years. He has found a new band and tomorrow he will not just bring them but also back up vocalists to complete his entourage.
I cannot wait!
Now one other small note, Sacha and I have been helping out at Rififi bar who hold a downtown underground open mic every Monday. We may be continuing to help out at this gig so watch this space…
