Mic-Club is pleased to present to you a poet of laughter, (comedian) who is not afraid to drop everything, pack his bags and search for the highest mountain to be touched by Buddha of comedy, Dean Masello. Tonight we celebrate the gathering of local talent to support and indulge on Masello’s clever, witty and dry humor. If he was an author, ladies (and men) would buy his novel’s just to stare at his black n white photo. I am looking forward to an outstanding performance from Dean and all the wonderful local talent that will warm the night.

The Angelic soulful Cora Rose will be upon us this coming Thursday as feature for Mic-Club.

Cora’s presence and music allows all to remember how the heart beat is from inside your mothers womb.

As I said, bring your chai tea in a flask. It’s poet of laughter bringing in razor sharp, clever brain punches which target the not only the laughing part of your brain, but also the part which welcomes caffeine (if you are a coffee romantic, you’ll get what I mean). I could safely say that Phil Jason is the kind of comedian (a.k.a. poet of laughter) that creates material strong enough to be historical. In other words, his jokes will live on through the ages of time.

Do come and support your local talent, do come and have a whiskey or pint with us but most of all, do come and perform on an Open-Mic that cares wholeheartedly to witness and hopefully foster the growth of our local talent.

However, his comedy can be best described as a Viking drinking beer from a skull of one of his victims. Sometimes, I could see myself in that skull. Or, maybe we could paraphrase a prisoner’s love phrase to his new inmate, “Your choice. We could do this the easy way or the hard way.” If Hemmingway was alive today, he would have a tattoo saying, “Nate Rand, there is only one”

Coming of the boat from Staten Island this Kat has traveled as far as New Orleans sharing and backing up many an artists with his drumming skills and guitar riffs. Joe Demaso engages the crowd in a way you wish you took Friday’s off. Blending New Orleans and Punk Rock, Mic-Club is sure to have one of “those” Nights.

We are glad to finally have him on board to show case and share his band with the underground Open Mic for The Emotionally Naked.

Once upon a time we “Mic-Club” hailed in a cosy wee dive bar in the East village. Many artists came and went…..some hail to this day having grown with there music, bands, hair even.
This one young butterfly floated in from time to time bringing an angelic voice that crept into the very nooks of the soul that ached for peace.
